Mulching

Expert mulching across the Macedon Ranges

Fresh garden beds, better soil health, or protection for newly planted trees, Red Tail Trees handles mulching of all sizes, giving your garden a clean, healthy finish.

How we work

Every job starts with a look at your garden beds and what they need, whether that's moisture retention, weed suppression, or simply tidying up the property's appearance. We supply and lay mulch around garden beds, trees and landscaped areas, helping soil stay healthier for longer and cutting down on watering and weeding. We can also mulch on site using timber from a removal or pruning job, a practical way to put the wood to good use rather than hauling it away.

If you've just had trees removed or pruned and want the mulch put to use, let us know and we can sort it as part of the same job.

Fully insured, honest pricing

Red Tail Trees is fully insured, so you're covered if anything unexpected happens. Every garden's different depending on size and what you need covered, so we quote after seeing the job, whether that's in person or over photos and a phone chat. Clear pricing, no surprises.

Can I use the wood chips from my tree removal or pruning job? Yes, we can mulch on site using timber from your job, so nothing goes to waste and you get fresh mulch for your garden beds.

How often should mulch be topped up? Most garden beds benefit from a fresh layer once or twice a year, though this can vary depending on the mulch type and your garden's needs.

How much mulch will I need? This depends on the size of your garden beds. We can advise on the right amount when we assess the job.
